“Breda has excellent educational programmes and is bursting with talent. But too many students leave Brabant after graduating. Let’s work together to ensure they stay here. We can do this by making room for startups and building links with the business community. This way, we retain talent in Brabant and strengthen our economy.

You can see that when knowledge institutions, start-ups and innovative SMEs are located close to one another, collaboration is genuinely encouraged. I am therefore pleased to see the role that West Brabant, and Breda in particular, is playing in supporting organisations such as Breda Robotics. They have grown into an important player in robotics and are making a real difference in sectors such as agriculture, healthcare and industry. In doing so, they are strengthening not only those sectors, but the entire region. The municipality is willing to invest in space and growth, while we, as the province, provide the initial support to get things moving.

The Breda Innovation District will become a place where you can live, work and innovate. This will create more space for innovative entrepreneurship. By continuing to work actively with other Brabant hotspots, Breda can not only benefit from knowledge and talent, but also contribute to a stronger whole.”
